Update Your System for Payroll Tax Rate Changes

Businesses who prepare payroll in house need to be sure to update their systems for any tax rate changes and install software updates when available. The Indiana Department of Revenue announced the county tax rates effective December 1, 2011. Please follow the link to see a current list of all county rates, www.in.gov/dor/reference/files/dn01.pdf. Most small business accounting software requires the user to enter and update local withholding and unemployment tax rates. I correctly spotted what was real and what was fake on all 14 questions. It is important to test our knowledge and see if we can really spot fake websites.
