Relief for Haiti – How You Could Help & Benefit

The earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12th left the region devastated. People around the world are left asking themselves what they can do to help. The Internal Revenue Service has jumped on board to encourage relief to the devastated area. On January 22nd the IRS outlined a special tax relief provision in IR 2010-12 allowing taxpayers to deduct eligible cash contributions to a qualified charitable organization for Haiti relief on their 2009 tax return instead of waiting to claim the deduction on their 2010 tax return.  Read More....
